SPECIALIST CONCRETES

Dry, round gravels are supplied for the manufacture of polymer concrete products such as drainage channels and machine mountings. Sands and aggregates are also dried and blended to exacting specifications for the productions of high performance concretes, mortars and decorative renders.

PEBBLE DASHING

A variety of coloured and textured aggregates provide high weather resistance to projects ranging from domestic pebble dashingto corporate and commercial projects and pre-cast concrete panels.

FLOORING SYSTEMS

Finely graded aggregates bonded into terrazzo tiles, polymer-based slabs or as dry shake toppings. These provide smooth, anti slip hygienic surfaces for shops, factories, hospitals and food processing facilities.

ROOFING

The high solar reflective index of these aggregate products make them ideal for covering flat roofs and protecting Asphalt based materials.

SURFACE DRESSING

A selection of washed, clean decorative gravels and chippings are supplied for incorporating into Bitumen for surface dressing schemes.

Calcium fluoride used in steel and aluminium smelting, barytes for high density concretes and white dolomite powders for high visibility road paint.

GABION STONE

Gabion casings are wire framed structures designed to create a strong, flexible walling solution. Gabions come in a range of sizes and can be filled with Long Rake Spar's decorative stone to suit your own unique landscape design requirements.

FILTER MEDIA

Natural gravel filters help purify the water for domestic supply, sewage processing, fish farms and other water filtration systems.

CAST STONE

Derbyshire Spar and white limestone are used extensively in the manufacture of “Portland“ effect cast stone. Granite, calcite and dolomite products are used in exposed or polished aggregate finishes.

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT & ANTI-SKID

Granites and bauxites are dried and screened to exacting specifications for anti-skid areas, cycle/bus lane demarcation, traffic calming schemes, bridge jointing products and textured (block effect) surfacing.

FOOTPATH GRAVELS

These graded aggregates, provide a flat textured surface for regenerating footpaths, bridleways and access paths. They can also be used within recreational areas, parkland and new build projects where a durable, cost effective surface is required. .

AQUATICS

The Aquatics range is ideal for water features and aquariums. All stone and aggregates in this section are classed as "fish friendly".

RECYCLED & ECO AGGREGATES

These products can be used in more sympathetic environments, such as woodland paths, or areas of ecological importance, where inert materials are a pre-requisite.
